Financial Securities Exchange (Private) Limited (FINSEC) is licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe as a Securities Exchange (Alternative Trading Platform).
FINSEC harnesses and facilitates electronic trading of a wide variety of securities, thereby formalising marginalised market segments and bringing all alternative trading activities on to a central and organised market place. FINSEC provides a world class electronic platform for the issuance, holding, trading and settlement of financial securities.
The ATP is completely automated and integrates all market participants in real time via a robust and state-of-the-art web based technology. The market participants include but are not limited to securities dealers, custodians, asset managers, issuers, settlement banks, market makers, transfer secretaries and regulators.
FINSEC offers an integrated market-place solution covering; Order Management; Order Routing; Order Matching; Clearing and Settlement; Securities Delivery; Trade Risk Management; Data Analysis; Surveillance; Mobile Trading; Online Trading and full Reporting.
Technology is central to FINSEC’s operations and to that end we utilise a state of the art system which is robust, efficient, secure and highly scalable. The system comes in two main modules namely the Automated Trading System (ATS) and the Clearing and Settlement System (CSS). This setup enables FINSEC, with the involvement of Custodians and Settlement Banks to manage the full trade cycle from investor creation up to trade settlement.
The ATP technology is based on a centralised database with the client application deployed on a webserver. Our deployment methodology saves our participants infrastructure costs and maintenance headaches. In addition, channels such as Mobile Applications and Online Investor Portals come embedded in FINSEC's technology package to deliver convenience and efficiency to the Participants as well as Investors.

Rachel Pfungwa Kupara
CA (Z), MBA; BAcc
Rachel Pfungwa Kupara has held various senior management positions in the financial services sector, specifically insurance and banking; agriculture and agro-processing and manufacturing industries. For nine years, she held the positions of Financial Controller, Company Secretary, Finance Director and eventually Managing Director of TA Holdings Limited’s insurance division as well as Group Investor Relations and Head of Investments . Rachel has held the position of General Manager – Group Projects at Trust Holdings Limited. On leaving Trust Holdings, Rachel joined Ariston Holdings Limited, an agricultural and agri-processing (tea, flowers, fruit, poultry, livestock and grain production). At Ariston, she served for a total of five years, starting off as a Finance Director and then becoming the Chief Executive Officer. In total, Rachel has more than 20 years’ experience serving as both executive and non-executive member on many Boards and Audit Committees of public and private sector companies including serving on the Board of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe for two terms from 1995 to 2001. Rachel currently serves as an independent non-executive of Tongaat Hulett, a Johannesburg Stock Exchange listed company, and also is a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee. In her capacity as both executive and non-executive director, Rachel has gained experience in corporate, organisational, financial, transformational and strategic leadership, ethics management and corporate governance.

Collen Tapfumaneyi is the founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Escrow Group, a finance and technology service provider. He was previously CEO of Custody & Registrars Services Limited (Kenya) following the acquisition of the company from Barclays Bank of Kenya. He was founding Managing Director of Corpserve Registrars in Zimbabwe, having previously worked for First Merchant Bank (now BancABC). Collen has a long and successful track record in the capital markets having been a team leader in a number of successful transactions spanning Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia. He also founded Escrow Systems (Pty) Ltd, a leading developer and provider of capital markets and financial services systems in East and Southern Africa. Collen holds an MSc. Finance and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Herriot Watt University, UK, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the same business school and an ACCA Diploma in Financial Management. He also attended the London School of Economics (UK) training on Financial Markets Regulation as well as training on Financial Modelling from Wall Street Prep (USA).

Welcome Mavingire is a researcher, analyst, fund manager and consultant with over 17 years’ experience in financial sector, with exposure to both sell-side and buy-side research, private equity and institutional fund advisory, coupled with experience in corporate advisory, investment administration and risk management. Welcome has worked with institutional investors, particularly pensions funds, in investment policy formulation and investment solutions tailored for their liability structures, as well as developing products that assist in deepening financial markets and growth of developing economies. Welcome has also led projects in IT systems implementation, payments solutions accreditations (Master Card) culminating in the establishment of the first investment consultancy firm in Zimbabwe. He combines good interpersonal skills and flair for nurturing relationships with attention to detail to deliver effective solutions to clients. As a CFA Charterholder and Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, Welcome upholds high standards of integrity and professionalism, which has helped in building sustainable business and client relationships. To further broaden his knowledge and keep abreast with latest trends and developments in finance, Welcome has taken a lecturing post with a local university and also volunteers in the CFA curriculum activities.

Kudzai Gambinga is a Registered Securities Dealer with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe. He was admitted as a Member of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange in February 2001. He began his working career as a banker with Standard Chartered Bank of Zimbabwe Limited in 1992 to 1995. Kudzai then joined Kingdom Stockbrokers (Pvt) Limited at its inception in 1995 and worked in various capacities and became its Principal Stockbroker from 2002 to 2013. He was appointed Managing Director of Kingdom Stockbrokers (Pvt) Limited from 2009 to 2013. He was admitted as a Member of the Institute of Financial Markets (SA) in 2009. He is currently an Executive Masters in Business Administration finalist with Africa University. Kudzi possesses varied knowledge in Zimbabwe’s Financial and Capital markets.
Mennard heads Escrow Group Finance and Administration Department. He is in charge of general administration, accounting and financial reporting, supported by over 10 years of experience gained through several roles that he played in the administration and accounting field prior to joining Corpserve. Mennard is a qualified Chartered Secretary and is currently studying towards ACCA qualification.
